RE: Explanation of NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) Events

I am writing to provide an explanation for the NSF events that appeared on my bank statements during [Month(s) and Year].

Background:
[Describe your business/self-employment situation briefly - e.g., "I am the owner of ABC Consulting, LLC, a management consulting firm I have operated since 2019."]

Explanation of NSF Events:
[Provide specific explanation for each NSF or group of NSFs. Be honest and specific. Examples below:]

Option 1 - Timing Issue:
"On [Date], [Number] NSF events occurred due to a timing issue with a large client payment. I was expecting a deposit of $[Amount] from [Client Name] which was delayed by [Number] days due to [Reason - bank processing, mail delay, etc.]. The funds were deposited on [Date] and my account was immediately brought current. This was an isolated incident and does not reflect my normal cash flow management."

Option 2 - Grouped Events (Same Day):
"The [Number] NSF events on [Date] were the result of a single underlying cause: [Explain - e.g., 'an automatic bill pay that processed before I could transfer funds from my savings account.']. While technically multiple NSF events, they stemmed from one oversight and occurred within the same banking day. I corrected the situation immediately by [Action taken]."

Option 3 - Specific Circumstance:
"The NSF that occurred on [Date] was due to [Specific circumstance - medical emergency, vehicle repair, equipment breakdown, etc.]. This was an unexpected expense of $[Amount] that temporarily exceeded my available balance. I have since [Action taken to prevent recurrence - established emergency fund, adjusted automatic payments, etc.]."

Current Status:
Since [Date], I have implemented the following measures to prevent future NSF events:
- [Measure 1 - e.g., "Maintain a minimum balance buffer of $X"]
- [Measure 2 - e.g., "Set up low balance alerts on my account"]
- [Measure 3 - e.g., "Adjusted automatic payment dates to align with deposit patterns"]

As evidenced by my recent bank statements, I have had no NSF events in the past [Number] months, demonstrating that my cash flow management has improved.

I understand that NSF events can raise concerns about financial responsibility, and I appreciate the opportunity to provide this context. I am confident that my overall financial profile and business performance demonstrate my ability to meet mortgage payment obligations.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any additional information or clarification.

Sincerely,
